- Please heed the calls to preserve this national treasure for future generations! Use your powers under the Antiquities Act of 1906 to set aside this unique area with the stroke of a pen.
- The Berryessa / Snow Mountain region stretches more than 100 miles and encompasses more than 350,000 acres across Napa, Mendocino, Lake, Solano and Yolo Counties. All five counties have enthusiastically endorsed permanent protection for the area.
- Berryessa / Snow Mountain is rich in biodiversity, including species such as bald and golden eagles, black bears, mountain lions, river otters, and tule elk, as well as plants found nowhere else on the planet.
- The region collects and purifies large quantities of water for use by nearby communities and farms.
- The region also includes numerous trails, open spaces, forests, lakes and rivers, providing recreation opportunities for hikers, bikers, campers, hunters, boaters, and others.
