SAMPLE LETTER:

Dear Commission President Sutton:

I want to see the gray wolf protected in California! Especially at a time when the federal government is revisiting its plan to delist the wolf in the lower 48, it makes no sense for California to leave Canis lupus without legal protection. Most Californians want to protect this magnificent animal within the state's borders, no matter if it's just one individual, where it came from, or where it's heading. These beautiful, charismatic, and ecologically important top predators should be welcome in the Golden State. Please respect the wishes of the majority of Californians who want wolves accorded the highest possible protection.

Sincerely,

You name and address
