After years of organizing by Jackson Forest defenders including Forests Forever, state officials have essentially agreed that Jackson's management must be modernized.

But a recent surprise announcement by CalFIRE that it will immediately resume logging at Jackson has generated strong doubts as to the agency's good faith as it purports to negotiate with tribes concerning co-management and improved forest protections.

Now we must demand that CalFIRE stop logging our public redwoods until the management plan is revised. No logging means no logging!
